This article examines the linguopragmatic implications of artificial intelligence for English-language social media discourse. A focused literature review and contextual analysis of constructed examples explore speech acts, communicative strategies, politeness, persuasion, and authorship. The proposed framework connects linguistic form, interpersonal interpretation, and platform conditions, distinguishing AI-assisted communication between people from direct human-AI interaction. The analysis identifies four configurations of message design: metapragmatic instruction, iterative alignment, trust calibration, and management of authorial voice. AI-assisted revision can preserve propositional content while changing perceived certainty, social distance, or commitment. Accordingly, grammatical fluency and courteous wording are insufficient indicators of communicative success. Evidence of AI-associated lexical shifts is interpreted at the level of the registers studied, without assuming language-wide transformation. The article proposes analysing complete sequences of drafting, prompting, publication, and reception to assess both textual changes and their interpersonal consequences.
