This article examines the formation and development of variety (estrada) art in Uzbekistan, highlighting its historical foundations, cultural background, and contemporary progress. Since ancient times, the art of singing has played a vital role in shaping the spiritual, aesthetic, and moral values of society. In the mid-20th century, Uzbek estrada emerged as a distinct musical genre, integrating elements of traditional folk heritage with modern stage performance. The paper pays particular attention to the creative legacy of Botir Zakirov and subsequent generations of artists who contributed to the establishment of national estrada. The study also analyzes state policies and presidential decrees implemented after Uzbekistan’s independence, which supported the advancement of music and promoted patriotic songs. Moreover, the article explores the pedagogical aspects of estrada, its ties with folk traditions, the creation of vocal-instrumental ensembles, and the incorporation of new technologies. The conclusion emphasizes that national estrada has become one of the defining features of Uzbekistan’s cultural identity, representing the country both domestically and on the international stage.
