The article examines the evolution of Uzbek traditional musical instruments from their ancient forms to modern technologies. The Uzbek musical tradition, formed at the crossroads of Eastern cultures, is presented as an important element of national identity. Special attention is given to the tanbur — a symbol of musical continuity — its structural features, its role in the classical music of Uzbekistan, and its place in the cycle “Shashmaqom.” The historical stages of the development of the tanbur family, their modifications, and adaptation to modern conditions are analyzed. The processes of digitalization of musical instruments and the creation of sample libraries, which preserve the unique timbre and promote the popularization of Uzbek musical culture in the global media space, are highlighted. The significance of digital technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage, expansion of international cooperation, and promotion of Uzbek music is emphasized. It is concluded that the synthesis of tradition and innovation contributes to the development of modern musical culture in Uzbekistan.
