Annotatsiya

Based on an analysis of scientific literature, this article discusses the prevalence of periodontal tissue diseases among textile industry workers, the occupational and individual risk factors contributing to their development, and ways to prevent these diseases. Workers in light industry, including textile enterprises, are exposed for prolonged periods during their work activities to dust, including cotton and fiber dust, high humidity, noise, temperature fluctuations, and chemical substances such as dyes, surfactants, and formaldehyde-based hardeners. These factors create conditions for disruption of the oral microbiota balance and the development of chronic inflammatory processes in gingival tissues. The results of a number of studies conducted in Türkiye, India, Brazil, and Uzbekistan are summarized, indicating that the prevalence of periodontal diseases among industrial workers may range from 60% to 96%. Based on the study findings, a three-level system of preventive measures aimed at preventing periodontal diseases among textile industry workers is proposed, covering the individual, enterprise, and state levels
