Diabetic cardiomyopathy is one of the most severe cardiovascular complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus, characterized by progressive structural and functional myocardial remodeling and a high risk of developing chronic heart failure. This problem is particularly relevant for patients living in hot climates, where exposure to high temperatures, chronic dehydration, and metabolic stress may contribute to the earlier development of cardiovascular complications. A comprehensive assessment of HbA1c, HOMA-IR, LVMI, E/e′, and NT-proBNP can improve the effectiveness of early diagnosis of diabetic cardiomyopathy, facilitate the timely identification of patients at high cardiovascular risk, and optimize personalized therapeutic and preventive interventions, particularly in individuals living in hot climatic conditions.
