INFLUENCE OF THE TIME OF IRRADIATION WITH A HIGH POWER ULTRAVIOLET LASER ON THE SPECTRUM AND LUMINESCENCE INTENSITY OF SILICON DIOXIDE NANOPARTICLES

Annotatsiya

Under exposure to UV radiation in SiO2 nanoparticles compressed in the form of tablets, a broadband photoluminescence centered at around 460 nm has been observed. The luminescence intensity depends on the duration of irradiation; in course of time the luminescence intensity monotonically decreases and is established at a certain level. It is assumed that under the influence of high-intensity UV radiation new absorption centers are created on the surface of SiO2 nanoparticles, and due to the absorption of part of the UV radiation in these centers, the luminescence intensity decreases.
