The results of investigation of the developed new innovative product − oil pitch, used as the main binder in non-ferrous metallurgy are presented. The studies were carried out by modern physical[1]chemical methods: thermogravimetry, chromatography-mass-spectrometry, NMR-spectroscopy, electron diffraction and X-ray spectral analysis. The resulting oil pitch is similar in its characteristics to the coal tar pitch of grade A and B1.
