Chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) represents a serious medical issue that affects a significant number of patients, particularly in older age groups. This condition is associated with insufficient blood supply to brain structures, leading to progressive cognitive impairments and a decline in quality of life. One of the contributing factors to the development of CCI is ammonia—a toxic substance that can have neurotoxic effects on nerve cells.
