The formulation of the definition is largely a theoretical issue, but it is of extremely great practical importance. The correct formulation in theory and in law provides the right guidance for practitioners in solving the problem that has arisen. It is with the definition of a conflict of interest that employees relate their specific life circumstances. Supervisory bodies are also guided by it in their activities. A conflict of interest is one of the least disclosed and most ambiguous and complex concepts found in the anti-corruption legislation of many countries. That is why it is considered necessary and relevant to study the legislation of foreign countries in the context of their existing definitions of the concept of "conflict of interest".
