This article explores the complex social transformation processes that took place in the republic in the early 1920s. These processes unfolded in two directions: the new social structure of the emerging Soviet society began to take shape, while the painful process of destroying the previous social structure gained momentum. The article demonstrates how, during this period, the country's political and economic life was purposefully restructured on new revolutionary principles, the foundations of its new social structure were laid, and a clearly defined class-based social policy of the Soviet regime was implemented, aimed at deepening the social-class differentiation of society and, ultimately, destroying its old stratification.
