This article analyzes the formation and development of the preschool education system in rural areas of the Khorezm region during 1945–1960, as well as the reforms implemented in this field and the existing problems and contradictions. It also highlights the primary objective of establishing kindergartens and nurseries in this period, namely, the broad involvement of women in industrial production and agricultural work. The study examines, from a scientific perspective, such issues and contradictions as the insufficient number of preschool institutions in rural areas, inadequate material and technical conditions, a shortage of qualified personnel, and the low level of child enrollment.
