This article analyzes the first exhibition initiatives launched by the administration of K. P. von Kaufman during the early years of the Turkestan Governor-Generalship, examining the factors behind their establishment and their role in the colonial policy of the Russian Empire. Furthermore, Turkestan's participation in exhibitions is examined within the context of the traditions of nineteenth-century international and Russian exhibitions and is assessed as one of the important ideological instruments of the Russian Empire's colonial policy.
