The article analyzes bronze mirrors found in the medieval monuments of Khorezm. The chronologicalboundary of the theme is determined by the 6th–14th centuries. The origin of bronze mirrors in themedieval monuments of Khorezm has been studied based on comparison with their similar typesin neighboring regions. Transformational changes and innovations in bronze mirrors have beenidentified and classified in accordance with their features of decorating ornaments. In the Khorezmmonuments dating from the 6th to the 11th centuries, there are mirrors crafted in accordance withancient traditions, lacking any decorative elements. Zoomorphic bronze mirrors decorated withgeometric and floral ornaments were especially widespread in Khorezm in the 12th-14th centuries.During this period, trade-economic and cultural connections with the Golden Horde and the nomadsof Eastern Europe served as the main factor in the penetration of bronze mirrors of various forms intoKhorezm. Some forms of bronze mirrors imported to Khorezm were made by local craftsmen. Thearticle presents historical information about the symbolic, aesthetic, magical properties and sacredfunctions of medieval bronze mirrors in the social life of Khorezm. In addition, it highlights the roleand significance of bronze mirrors in the material and spiritual culture of Khorezm.
