The article examines the history of metal pins from Khorezm during the archaic and ancient periods, based on archaeological and comparative materials. It demonstrates that pin production was established as early as the Bronze Age, with subsequent eras witnessing the development of artistic metalworking traditions and an increased influence of Eastern applied arts. Typological analysis reveals anthropomorphic, zoomorphic, and geometric forms of pins, which served not only decorative functions (adorning hair and headwear) but also held sacred and symbolic significance. Special attention is given to pins with finials shaped like hands, snake heads, pomegranates, and animal figures, which are interpreted within the context of mythological and religious beliefs of the Ancient Khorezm population. The article concludes that pins were not merely elements of decorative ornamentation but also important objects in the cultural, practical, and spiritual life of society.
