The growing electricity demand is associated with an increase in the use of renewable energy sources, which is difficult to use directly due to the dependence of its parameters on natural phenomena. Therefore, there is a high demand for technologies and equipment for energy storage, especially for vanadium flow batteries. However, due to the high cost of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), which is used in the composition of the electrolyte of these batteries, their cost is also high. We have shown the possibility of reusing recycled V2O5 in vanadium flow batteries, which was previously used as a catalyst in the production of sulfuric acid.
