Influence of implantation of Ba+ ions on the emission properties tungsten

Annotatsiya

The composition and emission properties of W coated with a monolayer of Ba and implanted with Ba+ ions and alkali metal ions Na+, K+, Cs+ with an energy of 0.5−8 keV at a saturation dose of D=Dsat=(6–8)×1016 sm–2 were studied using Auger electron spectroscopy and true secondary electron spectroscopy (TSEs).. It has been established that in the case of identical changes in eφ, the value of the secondary electron emission (SEE) coefficient in the case of ion implantation is ~1.5 times higher than in the case of adsorption of Ba atoms. It has been established that in the region of small primary electron energy (Ep) at high concentrations of Ba the levels of O3, O2, and O will make a significant contribution to the number of TSEs. In addition, the presence of such levels increases the effectiveness of inelastically reflected electrons (IRE). The analysis of data on the SEEs coefficients for spraying and ion-doped systems in the case of alkali metals leads to similar results.
