One of the pressing problems in the Republic of Uzbekistan is iodine deficiency, which contributes to the development of many pathologies of both the thyroid gland, such as diffuse and nodular goiter, and the entire body as a whole. Nodular goiter in 5.6% of patients can lead to thyroid cancer. The state's financial costs for treating patients with thyroid pathologies are many times higher than the costs of preventing these conditions. To improve the physical, psychological and mental health of the population, it is necessary to implement and monitor ways to solve these problems.
