Thyroid carcinoma (TC) in children is the most common type of endocrine cancer. Objective: to assess the thyroid status of children and adolescents with TC. Materials and methods: general clinical, biochemical, hormonal data were collected from 27 children with TC, and a number of anthropometric, morphological and instrumental diagnostic studies were performed as well. Results: papillary histological subtype with a solid euthyroid node was diagnosed in 66.7% of cases in all children, with average TI-RADS values of 4.2±0.2 and 4.14±0.34 according to Bethesda. Conclusions: papillary subtype with a solid euthyroid node predominates in children with differentiated TC under conditions of iodine deficiency in adolescence period.
