Purpose of the study. To study the efficacy of radiation therapy in acromegaly and to evaluate neuroimaging indices in remote periods of therapy. The object of the study was 50 patients who were on radiation therapy. The results of the study showed that in 54% of patients the pituitary sizes recovered to normal, in 10% they decreased, but did not reach the target values, and in 16% there was no significant change in the size of the adenoma. Moreover, in 26% of the patients empty turkish sellar developed secondarily and in 36% post-radiation encephalopathy.
