Hypogonadism is characterized by a decrease in the quantity of testosterone, a steroid hormone, in men, along with the manifestation of hypogonadism symptoms. Currently, among men diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the prevalence of hypogonadism is increasing. Moreover, the correlation between hypogonadism syndrome and inadequate carbohydrate metabolism control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as its association with obesity, has been emphasized by numerous international studies.
