The article raises the problem of choosing scientific aspects for studying the native Russian language at the first stage of education. The course "Russian native language" has been studied, its goals and objectives have been determined, and a list of scientific and methodological approaches to teaching it has been proposed. The study of the native Russian language is proposed from the standpoint of four scientific aspects: axiological, communicative-activity, linguoculturological and hermeneutic. The essence of each of the presented aspects is analyzed from the standpoint of the degree of knowledge, elaboration, expediency of using in elementary school in theory and practice.
