Annotatsiya

The absorption of linearly polarized light in a semiconductor dimension-quantized well related both to optical transitions between branches of light and heavy holes and between dimension-quantized subbands has been theoretically investigated. The main features of the absorption of polarized light in infinitely deep dimensional-quantized well are analyzed, which are characterized by intraband light absorption associated with direct optical transitions of holes between the valence band subbands, which are formed due to the dimensional quantization.
