This article analyzes investments in human capital, their impact on economic growth and production efficiency, and the main factors driving human capital development. Scientific approaches are based on labor market needs, education and training processes, human capital quality indicators, and return on investment (ROI). The study identifies the importance of interaction between public policy, the private sector, and the education system in developing a highly skilled workforce. The article also analyzes the short- and long-term impact of investments in human capital, their impact on labor productivity, innovation, and employment. Problems existing in Uzbekistan, such as insufficient funding, inequality in the quality of education, and the effectiveness of healthcare infrastructure, are highlighted, and proposals and recommendations for addressing them are developed.
