This article discusses the essence and significance of linguoculturology, a relatively new direction in linguistics, the intrinsic interrelation between language and culture, the emergence and formation of this field, as well as the linguists who contributed to its development and their viewpoints. It also demonstrates how children’s folklore songs are interpreted as an object of research in linguoculturology, providing examples of children’s folklore songs from various languages and offering brief conclusions.
