This article provides a scholarly analysis of the conceptual-field model, linguocognitive structure, and linguocultural interpretation of the concept “security” in English and Uzbek diplomatic discourse. The aim of the study is to identify the core and peripheral semantic layers of the concept “security” in the diplomatic speech of both languages, to interpret its meaning enriched by national worldview factors, and to compare its modes of use in diplomatic discourse. The findings of the study, conducted on the basis of conceptual field theory, cognitive linguistics, comparative diplomatic discourse analysis, and linguocultural methodology, demonstrate that in English diplomatic discourse the concept of security is predominantly associated with political-legal, military-strategic, and economic dimensions of security provision. In contrast, in Uzbek diplomatic language, the concept of “security” is enriched with values such as regional stability, peace, mutual trust, and solidarity. The article concludes that the national and cognitive differences in the conceptualization of “security” within English and Uzbek diplomatic discourse represent significant semantic factors influencing the effectiveness of international communication.
