This article comparatively investigates the linguosemiotic and linguopragmatic nature of nonverbal means in English and Uzbek communicative cultures. It highlights the role of nonverbal units in transmitting information, expressing emotional and psychological states, regulating communicative relations, and shaping the force of speech influence in the process of communication. The study interprets kinesics, facial expressions, oculesics, haptics, proxemics, chronemics, and paralinguistic means not merely as external behavioral signs, but as semiotic units that actualize cultural meaning, social norms, and pragmatic intention. On the basis of etic and emic approaches, as well as comparative-typological, functional-pragmatic, semiotic, and linguocultural methods of analysis, the article identifies universal, culture-specific, and lacunar features of nonverbal means in English and Uzbek communicative cultures. The scientific novelty of the study lies in interpreting nonverbal means not as auxiliary elements of verbal speech, but as an independent communicative-semiotic system, a cultural code, and a pragmatic mechanism that strengthens illocutionary force.
