This article examines the importance of the peer assessment method in developing oral and written speech skills of applicants. According to experimental observations conducted with the participation of 22 applicants over a period of one month, feedback from peers reduces speech anxiety in students and increases motivation. The results of the study confirmed that students absorb linguistic signals from their peers faster than from the teacher. At the end of the article, methodological recommendations are given for the systematic implementation of the peer assessment process in lessons under the supervision of the teacher.
