This article analyzes the factors affecting the attention and cognitive activity of students in an educational environment where digital technologies are widespread. The problems of superficial thinking and rapid distraction of attention as a result of the increased flow of information are substantiated. On this basis, digital minimalism is considered as a pedagogical solution, highlighting its focus on the conscious and purposeful use of technologies. The study shows the possibilities of increasing the effectiveness of education by cleaning the educational process from excess information, selecting didactic tools and normalizing the cognitive load, and describes methods that develop attention management, independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
