This study examines the transformation of fine arts in the Khorezm region during the years of Uzbekistan’s independence. The research focuses on the formation of regional artistic identity, stylistic diversity, and the role of institutional and exhibition practices in shaping contemporary artistic processes. Using a combination of historical and art-critical approaches, the paper analyzes the evolution from socialist realism to pluralistic artistic expressions, including modernist and postmodern tendencies. The findings demonstrate that despite its relatively late development, Khorezm fine art has evolved into a distinctive regional school characterized by the synthesis of national traditions and global artistic influences.
