This article analyzes the thematic and compositional features of the short story genre in Karakalpak children’s prose. The study focuses on the works of A.Atajanov and K.Ernazarov, examining children’s psychology, moral values, and educational content. Special attention is paid to plot development, composition, conflict, and character system. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of genre characteristics in Karakalpak children’s literature.
