This article analyzes the international cultural and sports influence of Surkhandarya region during the years of independence. In particular, information is provided about the international wrestling tournaments and world championships held in the city of Termez in memory of Al-Hakim at-Termizi, their refereeing staff and winners. The article also extensively covers the importance of the “Boysun Spring” and the International Bakhshi Art Festivals, their recognition by UNESCO, and the cultural reforms carried out within the framework of the 1000th anniversary of the “Alpomish” epic.
