This article examines contemporary approaches to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language. It analyzes the main types of AI-based tools, their didactic potential, and the possibilities they offer for personalizing the learning process. Particular attention is paid to the role of artificial intelligence in developing learners’ communicative competence, automating knowledge assessment, and increasing motivation to study the language. The study identifies both the advantages and limitations of applying AI in educational practice. Based on the analysis conducted, methodological recommendations are proposed for the effective integration of intelligent technologies into the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
