The literary heritage of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur and the Babur dynasty occupies an important place in the history of Eastern literature. The information reflected in the prefaces of tazkiras, historical works, divans, and major epic works created during this period plays an important role in studying the literary and spiritual life of this period. One of the scientists and writers who left behind a great scientific legacy in the 16th-17th centuries is Sultan Muhammad Mutribiy Samarkandiy (996/1559-1628-29). In some sources, he is mentioned under the names Mutribiy, Noiy, and Mavlano Sultanmuhammad. He left a deep mark on the history of Uzbek culture as a poet, literary critic, calligrapher, and musician. The article provides important information about the place and significance of the literary and historical tazkira “Nushai zeboi Jahongir” (1625), written in India, in the history of literature.
