The publicistic style in the Uzbek language has its own distinctive characteristics shaped by the nature of the language, cultural specificities, and the informational needs of society. The features of the Uzbek publicistic style have been widely studied. Noteworthy are studies devoted to the language of periodicals of the 1920s; the morphological features of periodical language; the syntactic features of newspaper language; newspaper and press language; the modern Uzbek publicistic style; the relationship between newspaper language and the literary norm; the study of media language from a speech perspective; analyses of the publicistic style based on selected creative styles; linguostylistic and linguocultural studies of essay texts in the Uzbek language; as well as research into the semantic and stylistic features of the publicistic style in English and Uzbek.
