This article examines the key aspects of the conceptual approach to literary translation. The study analyzes methods of conceptual analysis, the modeling of the conceptual sphere of a literary text, problems related to the transfer of concepts in translation, and criteria for translation adequacy. It demonstrates the role of the conceptual approach in translation theory and its connection with cognitive linguistics and cultural studies. The methodological framework of the article is based on contemporary achievements in translation studies, cognitive linguistics, and linguoculturology. The results indicate that the conceptual approach broadens the possibilities for a deeper understanding of literary translation, an objective assessment of its quality, and effective cultural mediation.
