This article examines the connotative meanings of punctuation and various graphic signs in the English and Uzbek languages. The author highlights the significance of punctuation marks not only as grammatical tools but also as grapho-stylistic devices. Through examples from literary and scientific texts, it is demonstrated how question marks, exclamation marks, ellipses, dashes, and quotation marks contribute to emotional intensity, expressiveness, and stylistic variety in speech. Furthermore, the linguopragmatic features of technical signs such as references, asterisks, and parentheses in clarifying textual content are analyzed.
