This article analyzes the changes and development of the image of the entrepreneur in the new system of socio-economic relations that emerged after Uzbekistan gained independence. Aspects such as a new worldview, initiative, innovative thinking, and economic activity characteristic of an entrepreneur during the period of independence are examined from a scholarly perspective. The study also explores state policies supporting entrepreneurship, the expansion of small business and the private sector, the influence of entrepreneurs in society, and the factors contributing to the formation of a positive social image. As a result of the analysis, the role of entrepreneurship in economic development, employment growth, the creation of an innovative environment, and the modernization of the national economy during the years of independence is determined.
