This article examines phraseological units that express emotions in the Uzbek and English languages. It analyzes the role of phraseological units in conveying emotional states, as well as their manifestation in forms equivalent to a word, a word combination, and a sentence. Particular attention is paid to emotional load, the degree of imagery, and issues related to the grammatical adaptation of phraseological units.
