In Karakalpak linguistics, it has become a well-established principle, confirmed by scientific research, that language should be studied in connection with its bearer—the human being—as well as the culture and worldview of the nation to which it belongs. As is widely recognized, the anthropocentric paradigm comprises a set of theories and methods that examine language not merely as a structure, but as an open system grounded in communication, exploring it in relation to other systems such as society, the individual, culture, and psychology, and aimed at analyzing humans in language or language in humans. Consequently, in recent years, the anthropocentric approach in world linguistics has been acknowledged as one of the main criteria for the linguistic analysis of language systems. Particles are non-descriptive words that do not possess independent nominative meaning, and their semantics are revealed only within a text, depending on a specific speech situation. Since such words do not directly name objects or phenomena, or the attributes and properties of objective reality, their reference remains unclear unless they are connected to a particular communicative context. For this reason, the relationship of particles to the speaker’s speech process and the text enables pragmatic research in Karakalpak linguistics within the frameworks of “Language – Human – Communication,” “Language – Human – Consciousness,” and “Speaker – Text – Listener.”
