This article examines the concept of the paremiological world picture as a linguistic and cultural phenomenon and its role in foreign language learning. Proverbs and sayings are viewed as carriers of collective experience, national values, and culturally specific ways of conceptualizing reality. The study highlights how paremiological units contribute to the formation of learners’ linguistic competence, intercultural awareness, and cognitive understanding of the target language. Special attention is paid to the pedagogical potential of proverbs in language education, as they facilitate meaningful learning, cultural comparison, and critical thinking. The article argues that integrating paremiological material into language teaching enhances students’ communicative competence and supports the development of a holistic world picture.
