This article examines Turkic tazkiras (anthologies), particularly Alisher Navoi’s Majālis un-nafā’is and Sodiqi Kitobdor’s (Afshor) Majma‘ ul-havas, as poetological sources for the study of classical Oriental–Islamic literature. The research is conducted on the basis of the poetological concept developed by Esad Duraković, which demonstrates the scholarly limitations of ethnifying classical literature and interpreting it solely as a collection of historical or philological facts. The article highlights the aesthetic criteria of the tazkira genre, the forms of commonality shaped within the framework of the “poetics of similarity,” and the ways in which the individuality of the author manifests itself within this shared poetic system.
