The article analyzes the linguistic nature of metaphor in the Uzbek and Russian languages, focusing on its semantic and stylistic features, its connection to cultural factors, and the commonalities and differences between the two language systems. The study also examines theoretical approaches to the functions of metaphor in speech, its significance in creating artistic imagery, and its role in conceptual thinking.
