This article analyzes the improvement of a curriculum design model for developing future teachers’ artificial intelligence competencies in higher education. The relevance of the study is determined by the rapid integration of generative AI tools into educational practice, the digital transformation of the teaching profession, and the need to redesign curricula based on a competency-based approach. The article substantiates AI literacy, ethical responsibility, prompt-based interaction, digital pedagogy, critical evaluation of information, and personalized learning design as essential components of modern curriculum design. An integrative model is proposed to ensure coherence among learning outcomes, content, teaching methods, assessment, and continuous monitoring. The results indicate that a module-based, interdisciplinary, and practice-oriented curriculum design is effective for preparing future teachers for professional activity in the AI era.
