This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of the tools used in the mediation process. The approaches of foreign and domestic scholars to the classification of mediation tools are examined, and existing academic debates on this issue are highlighted. In particular, the article reveals the essence and mechanisms for applying key mediation tools such as active listening, reframing, paraphrasing, asking open-ended questions, using neutral language, and empathy. Furthermore, the significance of psychological knowledge in the mediation process, as well as methods for preventing and managing conflict escalation, is analyzed. The author argues that the effectiveness of mediation largely depends on the mediator’s ability to use communicative and psychological tools competently. In conclusion, it is emphasized that a deep understanding of mediation methods and tools, as well as their effective application in practice, constitutes an important prerequisite for achieving a mutually acceptable agreement between the parties based on cooperation.
