The article examines the scientific and methodological foundations for organizing a virtual laboratory in clinical engineering. As the number and complexity of medical devices increase and safety requirements become stricter, it is important to develop students’ competencies in managing the life cycle of medical equipment, assessing electrical safety, planning preventive maintenance, interpreting calibration results and preparing service documentation. The study substantiates the virtual laboratory not as a separate software product, but as an integrated didactic environment that combines a digital device passport, a simulation object, fault scenario, safety constraint, an electronic report and criteria-based assessment. As a result, a modular model of a clinical engineering virtual laboratory, lesson scenarios, assessment indicators and a staged implementation mechanism were developed.
