This article examines the theoretical, legal, and historical foundations of the participation of local government authorities in public safety management. The study highlights the role of the public administration system in ensuring public safety, the powers and functions of local authorities, and their cooperation with law enforcement agencies. Particular attention is paid to the historical stages in the development of the public order and safety system in Uzbekistan, the reforms implemented during the years of independence, and the formation of modern governance mechanisms. The article also identifies priority areas for improving the participation of local government authorities in ensuring public safety, analyzes existing challenges, and presents scientifically grounded conclusions and practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of public safety governance.
