The article addresses the improvement of the acts and mechanisms of prosecutorial supervision over the execution of laws by bodies conducting inquiry. It analyses the system of acts of prosecutorial supervision currently in force in the Republic of Uzbekistan (protest, decision, presentation, application, warning) and the procedural mechanisms of supervision over inquiry. Drawing on the experience of Central Asian states, in particular the institution of the prosecutor's demand, the article considers ways of enriching the means of supervision. Particular attention is paid to criteria for assessing the effectiveness of supervision, its digitalization, and its regulation through departmental acts. As a result of the study, specific proposals for improving the mechanisms of prosecutorial supervision are formulated.
