This article explores extralinguistic factors influencing the functioning and development of the Russian and Uzbek languages. The author employs a comparative approach to examine the effects of sociocultural, historical, and political conditions on the linguistic worldview of speakers of these languages. The study highlights the impact of religious, ideological, and ethnopsychological features on the lexical system and communicative norms. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of language and culture interaction, particularly in translation and intercultural communication
