Annotatsiya

The article systematically analyzes the migration processes in the empire of Amir Temur and the Timurids, including their causes, structure, and socio-economic consequences. The study examines state-controlled forms of forced and voluntary migration, particularly the relocation of craftsmen, scholars, and architects from various conquered regions to the capital city of Samarkand and other major centers. Comparative-historical, demographic, and retrospective methods were used in the study. The results indicate that the migration policy of the Timurid era was a core factor in enhancing the empire's economic power and stimulating the Central Asian Renaissance. This paper serves as an important resource for researching the history of medieval Eastern demography.
