Annotatsiya

The article examines the specific features of constructing sanctions within criminal law provisions in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of ongoing criminal law reform aimed at the humanization of criminal policy. The study considers theoretical approaches to understanding criminal law sanctions, their place within the system of criminal law, and the significance of sanctions as an instrument for implementing the principles of justice, humanism, proportionality, and individualization of punishment. An analysis is conducted of the main types of sanctions applied in criminal law, including relatively determinate, alternative, cumulative, absolutely determinate, and absolutely indeterminate sanctions. The article identifies problems related to the inconsistency of sanction regulation, manifested in the absence of unified criteria for constructing sanctions, the heterogeneity of punishment limits for similar offenses, excessive variability of judicial discretion, and the fragmented nature of criminal law reforms.
